Senior HR Consultant, Flexible Hours

Hire Ventures is a boutique human resource consulting firm headquartered in Atlanta that works with small to medium-sized companies often in the tech space. Since 2001, we have been providing human resource and recruiting services with a focus in finding and keeping talent in an ever-changing, complex world.

Our services are more ideal than ever for companies that may have human resource or recruiting needs but may not have their own full-time resource and given this growth, we are adding to our Human Resource Consulting team. 

The ideal person for this role will be a proven self-starter who is passionate and experienced in various areas of Human Resources, ideally, someone who has worked in an early stage or in a solo HR position with a growing company.

Must have experience processing payroll & benefits administration.

What you will be doing:

• Providing exceptional senior level HR support and guidance to our clients (often the CEO, COO or Founder).  We deliver in all areas of the employee life cycle, acting as an extension of their in-house team to help with onboarding, benefits administration, payroll, leave management and employee exiting.
• This role will handle day-to-day HR for our clients, from benefits/payroll administration, processing leave requests, new hire onboarding, and employee terminations or offboarding.  There may also be some project-based work like HR Audits, updating policies or employee handbooks to support the changing organizational needs.
• HR is complex, and our clients often have remote employees in various states, so you’ll need to stay current on the latest practices to ensure compliance with various state and federal employment laws.
• HR projects may also include digging deeper into various HR challenges our clients face, updating related content for the website, writing blogs, and sharing over various social media channels (Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn).
• Supporting the growth of Hire Ventures and our internal team; participating in team meetings as well as collaborating with other members of the team in a virtual capacity. Telling the Hire Ventures story via LinkedIn and other social platforms to strengthen the Hire Ventures brand.

To be considered you must have the following:

• This position is located in Atlanta and will be a hybrid role, working out of our office at Atlanta Tech Village.
• Ideally, a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, or relevant and equivalent experience
• HR Certification is a plus.
• Must have 5+ years of progressive and relevant HR experience - early-stage tech or small-growth company experience a huge bonus.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, be motivated, articulate and make sound decisions under the position guidelines - in a positive, results-driven and forward-thinking manner.
• Should have an active presence in the professional world, especially LinkedIn.

• Ability to communicate with a variety of people in a polite and professional manner, with a high attention to detail.
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills, business writing knowledge a plus.
• Must be coachable, collaborative and have a growth mindset.
